At 560 metres above sea level, the Elisabethenberg on the south-western slopes of the Hohentwiel is the highest vineyard site in Germany. The Vollmayer family has been passionately cultivating vines in this monopole vineyard since 1928. Sustainable production is particularly important to the family, which is why the vineyards have been cultivated according to ecological guidelines for many years.
