Lake Stage

The Bregenz Festival’s lake stage is the largest lake stage in the world and has been the setting for the “Play on the Lake” for decades. Against the backdrop of Lake Constance, extraordinary opera and music theater productions are created, whose set designs and stagings shape the special character of the venue. Since the Bregenz Festival’s beginnings in 1946, the Lake Stage has been a central venue, combining music theater, the performing arts, and the unique landscape of Lake Constance.
