Hohentwiel Fortress ruins

Singen, Germany

Hohentwiel is one of Germany ́s largest fortress ruins and is a place of enchanted grandeur. The fortress imposing ramparts and casemates, its fallen towers and defiant ruins, still evoke the military might of this once-invincible fortress. The mysterious walls, nooks and stairways are also an absolute paradise for children! The surrounding volcanic crags are now a nature reserve, offering a unique habitat to many rare species of flora and fauna. And those who have enjoyed the impressive views over Lake Constance on a sunny day know that it is the best vantage point in Baden-Württemberg!
