With TRIGGER WARNING, Kunstverein Friedrichshafen presents new sculptural installations and video works by Alina Kleytman. The artist explores violence, war, trauma and collective memory, combining political analysis with mythological narratives and emotional intensity.
At the heart of the exhibition are newly produced works examining the psychological, political and social consequences of war. Hybrid sculptural bodies and the video works Are u tired?, Thank you, Daddy! and Cradle of Democracy explore themes of borders, territories, vulnerability and the experience of an ongoing war.
Born in Kharkiv in 1991, Alina Kleytman works across sculpture, performance and video. She describes her artistic approach as “hysterical realism”.
