Winter adventure time

Lake Constance is a dream destination at any time of the year. Put your feet up and relax in the SalzOase in Constance. In February discover the fifth season of the year – the Swabian-Alemanic Carnival in Konstanz and Überlingen. Between those visits make a discovery tour through the vineum in Meersburg and learn about the history and culture of wine. After that spend a relaxing day in the thermal bath in Lindau. The tour continues with a visit of the wellknown Kunsthaus Bregenz, one of the leading international exhibition spaces in Europe. The Wasserau-Ebenalp cable car takes you to an altitude of 1,644m with breathtaking viwes of Alpstein. Discover the little country of Liechtenstein on a guided walk with an outdoor fondue. To round off your tour you can enjoy yet more nature when climbing to panoramic mountain Pizol with great winter sport activities.

Your Lake Constance experience for 7 days

1. salt’z – SalzOase Constance…like a holiday at the seaside | Germany
Total relaxation with a year-round health and wellness experience for kids and adults in the salt grotto of the SalzOase Constance, that consists of 28 tons of salt. At a special children’s time children can dig and play in the salt box. Tip: Reservation for the grotto sessions is recommended.

2. Carnival in Constance | Germany
Let yourself be carried away by the tradition of the Constance Carnival on Wednesday evening or at the “Dirty Thursday” parade (evenings) in the center of Constance.

3. Vineum in Meersburg | Germany                                                                                                                        With a visit to the vineum Meersburg you get to experience a new and modern type of museum. Centerd around the historic wine press from 1607 the museum shows the history and culture of the wine in a entertaining, sensual and inspiring way. They also offer guided tours and wine tastings.

4. Carnival in Überlingen | Germany
In Überlingen it gets foolish on Saturday when local ‘fools guilds’ meet and move merrily through the old town. A special experience is the “Hänselejuck”.

5. Therme Lindau | Germany                                                                                                                                    Relax in the unique thermal bath Lindau. With over 13000 m² and six different types of pools, from massage jets over whirlpools to bubble benches, the thermal bath has everything the heart desires.

6. Kunsthaus Bregenz | Austria
One of the leading international exhibition spaces in Europe after only a few years was designed by the renowned
Swiss architect Peter Zumthor. Through numerous honors confirmed the building ranks among the most important
contemporary museum structures in the world.

7. Wasserauen - Ebenalp cable car | Switzerland
Take a ride in the gondola that brings you from Wasserauen to the high plateau of Ebenalp at an altitude of 1,644 m. A.. The Panorama Path takes you directly to the mountain inn where you have a fantastic view to the Lake Constance and beyond. Numerous activities await you at the mountain station.

8. Guided walk with outdoor fondue | Principality of Liechtenstein
An absolute hit on cold winter’s days. Enjoy a special llama tour in princely Rätikon before savring a tasty cheese
fondue under the starry sky of the royal winter idyll.

9. Bad Ragaz - Wangs Pizol railways | Switzerland
In the outdoor Finnish sauna, you can enjoy steam infused with olive and lemon grass cream as well as salt and honey rubs for a well-tended skin (peeling effect), a plunge pool, a coloured-light sauna, a Turkish steam bath and solariums.

Tip: The fifth season - Carnival
Are you starting your tour in early or mid-February? Then watch the crazy goings-on of the Swabian-Alemannic carnival. Witches and jesters move through the alleys, creating a unique carnival atmosphere everywhere, be it in the streets or in restaurants and festival halls.
