Featuring one of the largest Hans Purrmann collections (1880-1966), the co-founder of the Académie Matisse and pieces by other artists – Jan Balet and Karl Caspar – also affiliated with the “Académie”. Discover valuable Christian art objects including a Romanesque processional cross from the Staufer period AD 1140 and the carved Pieta AD 1340, a rare baroque Trinity in religious art. Former President Erwin Teufel des- cribes the Langenargen Museum as “a gem among the museums in the Lake Constance area.”
