Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu

Scheidegg, Germany

Wow and aha moments in the forest

Play, discover and enjoy a breathtaking view. There are plenty of adventures for young and old on 60,000 square meters. From a height of up to 40 meters, you can enjoy fantastic views of the Allgäu Alps and Lake Constance.

Reaching New Heights in the West Allgäu: The Treetop Walk in Scheidegg has been one of the region's most popular attractions between the Allgäu and Lake Constance for years. Set within an expansive nature adventure park, it combines an immersive outdoor experience with fully accessible facilities, making it an ideal destination for visitors of all ages.

At the heart of the park is the approximately 540-metre-long treetop walkway, which leads visitors through the forest canopy. A glass elevator provides comfortable, step-free access to the observation tower as well as every level of the walkway. Rising up to 40 metres above the forest floor, the platform offers spectacular panoramic views. On clear days, visitors can enjoy sweeping vistas across the Allgäu Alps all the way to Lake Constance.

Beyond the treetop walk, the six-hectare forest park features numerous interactive stations along its nature trails. More than 70 hands-on attractions invite visitors to explore and play, including forest swings, wooden seesaws and the park's unique wooden ball track. The wobble-board maze challenges both balance and teamwork, while a barefoot trail lets guests experience a variety of natural surfaces such as pebbles and pine cones—all with the mountain scenery as a constant backdrop.

Families can also enjoy an adventure playground and a petting zoo. The park's restaurant with its beer garden continues the forest theme in its menu. Rather than offering standard fast-food fare, it serves hearty potato rösti variations, baked potatoes with herb quark, and seasonal vegetable dishes, providing a regional culinary experience to round off the visit.

From Workshops to Forest Music: During the holiday season in particular, young and old forest enthusiasts alike can look forward to an exceptional programme of events. Especially in the summer months, the high-altitude forest at around 1,000 metres above sea level is a rewarding destination for day trips. Thanks to the extensive woodland covering most of the site, the trees act as a natural air-conditioning system, ensuring pleasantly cool temperatures even on hot summer days.
