On Lake Constance there is the only Max-Planck-Institute for Ornithology. Its sake scientific research is well known in bench markets providing an extraordinary state of technology.
80 different Max-Planck-Institutes are found all over Germany, each one focused on different research areas. The only Institute for Ornithology is located on Lake Constance, an ideal location for cutting-edge research and state-of-the-art technology.
Independent learning is offered in the “Hennhaus” interactive media room. Walk-in visitors can learn about the worldwide research projects of the Max-Planck-Institute for Ornithology through films and slideshows.
There’s more to discover outside too! Head out to the Bee Marie, a large bee pasture where nature lovers can investigate the exciting world of birds, insects and small animals.
Children and adolescents get to experience a different kind of holiday here too with special workshops. Curious kids get the chance to try their hand at research with Max-Planck-Institute scientists. There are also guided tours for children and adults, as well as many interesting lectures on bird research.
