The Residential Palace of the Counts of Montfort

Tettnang, Germany

The former residence of the Counts of Montfort is one of the most attractive Palaces in Upper Swabia. The rich fittings were created by the leading stucco plasterers and craftsmen from the region around Lake Constance. In the owners’ private chambers, the courtly atmosphere is palpable thanks to the luxurious furnishings including masterpieces of Upper Swabian and French furniture. The famous Bacchus hall provided a magnificent setting for glorious banquets. Outside the hours of guided tours, visitors can enjoy the corridors and hallways as well as the palace park!
