City of Biberach

As a former free imperial city, Biberach can look back on a rich and varied history. The numerous testimonies to the past continue to lend the city its charm today. Biberach old town

The centre of town focuses on the market place, one of the most attractive in southern Germany. With its fountains and street cafés,it exudes southern flair, encouraging visitors to linger. Moreover, the medieval guild district of Weberberg and the shared parish church dominate the cityscape and make Biberacha stage on the German Timber-Frame Road and the Upper Swabian Baroque Road.

Culture in Biberach

Another highlight is the Vier-Sparten Museum Biberach. Among other things, this museum houses works by the impressionist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner as well as the magnificent workshop of the animal painters Braith and Mali from Munich. The poet Christoph Martin Wieland has his very own museum in his original garden house.
