Meßkirch Castle

Built in the style of the Renaissance by the counts of Zimmern around 1557, the­ Meßkirch­ Castle­ is­ one­ of­ the­ first­ regular fourwing buildings north of the Alps. Inside the castle, Germany’s oldest Renaissance hall is particularly­ spectacular­ with­ its­ magni­ficent­ ­coffered­ ceiling.
