Meßkirch Castle

Meßkirch, Germany

Built in the style of the Renaissance by the counts of Zimmern around 1557, the Meßkirch Castle is one of the first regular fourwing buildings north of the Alps. Inside the castle, Germany’s oldest Renaissance hall is particularly spectacular with its magnificent coffered ceiling.
