Market Hall Altenrhein

Market Hall Altenrhein - A Hundertwasser architecture project

Staad SG , Switzerland

Like many other famous buildings is the Market Hall in Altenrhein an impressive example of the unusual architectural concepts or the internationally renowned artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Gilded onion domes, glowing colours, sweeping lines, asymmetrical windows, uneven floors, shades walkways and roof gardens are the characteristics of Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s architecture. In his design he wanted to turn off all egalitarianism, sterility and anonymity.
