Hesse Museum, Gaienhofen at Lake Constance

Hesse Museum Gaienhofen

Gaienhofen, Germany

In addition to its collection on the artistic and literary landscape of the Höri peninsula, the Hesse Museum in Gaienhofen presents the newly-designed permanent exhibition “Gaienhofen detours. Hermann Hesse and his 1st house” at the actual location. The former dwelling and studio of the writer and subsequent Nobel Prize Winner for literature, Hermann Hesse, where he lived and worked from 1904 to 1907, now belongs to the museum. Temporary special exhibitions and events complete the programme.
