Dating back almost 1,200 years, Radolfzell am Bodensee is one of the oldest settlements in the Lake Constance area. In 826, Bishop Radolf of Verona laid the foundations for modern-day Radolfzell with his spiritual settlement. Today, the late-Gothic Cathedral of Our Lady with ist 82-metre-high tower stands on the same spot, an emblem of the town.
