The museum is dedicated to the rural and Catholic cultural history of the canton of Appenzell-Inner Rhodes. Focusing primarily on folklore and popular everyday culture, our collection includes world-famous hand embroidery as well as rural and furniture painting, the history of tourism, and popular piety. Special exhibitions delve deeper into the culture.
