A cyclist's dream: around the lake

The tour of Lake Constance is one of Europe's favourite cycle routes. It covers 170 miles passing through three countries surrounded by cultural particularities and typical landscapes. Cosy country inns, first-class hotels, rustic eateries, gourmet restaurants, lidos, Lake Constance thermal baths, animal and leisure parks, climbing parks and museums – everything the heart desires.

The route is constantly signposted and for the most part on dedicates paths along the shores of Lake Constance.

Cyclists generally travel clockwise because the cycle path is beside the lake.

A period of between four and seven days is recommended to complete the full 170-mile route.

The Lake Constance cycle route is accessible to beginners and families, as it is for the most flat and well built.

Suggested stages:

  • Konstanz/Kreuzlingen - Stein am Rhein/Diessenhofen
  • Stein am Rhein/Diessenhofen - Überlingen
  • Überlingen - Friedrichshafen
  • Friedrichshafen - Lindau/Bregenz
  • Lindau/Bregenz - Rorschach/Arbon
  • Rorschach/Arbon - Kreuzlingen/Konstanz
