Mainau Island also has its magic in winter: Even in winter, specks of colour are discernible as you enjoy an extended walk through the wintry park, as the winter blossom of lush shrubs and witch hazel display their colours during the winter months. Two places in particular invite visitors to linger in the warmth after exploring the island: the butterfly house with its tropical landscape, rich in contrasts and boasting more than 120 different species of butterfly every year, and the subtropical palm house. Here, visitors can enjoy coffee and cakes under palm trees growing up to 15 metres high.
Opening times from sunrise to sunset.
